Someone once told me that they used to keep a diary, they stopped because they realized that all the things they were writing in there had become lies. If they couldn’t even be honest with themselves, in the privacy of their diary, what was the point?
Embracing Weirdness!
Often times we feel misunderstood, and start believing that the world is against us. Because we tend to process and interact with the world differently from the masses, we struggle to relate with normal events. Which sometimes causes problems, in our work place, family settings, society and even personal relationships.
The humanitarian sector, mainly encompasses diverse actors dedicated to the upliftment and elevation of societies and individuals in vulnerable circumstances, including responding to crisis (Stephenson 2005) To deal with the many crises that threaten the wellbeing and survival of the population, including the workers, the humanitarian community has adopted a number of strategies, most of which promote networks as means of resilience (Lai et al 2019).
